Wait. Weren’t we and these guys shooting at each other?
Joke aside, the Vietnamese flag carrier will order up to 100 737 Max airplanes and could order the 777x or A350-1000, to fly to America.

Many countries were British colonies and they were awfully hard to get rid of.
Still, people from those countries cheer for the royals today , watch all related TV shows, read gossip rags and follow royal weddings.
It’s funny how the world works.

Yeah, well, let’s see how many Vietnamese airliners the US carriers buy this year!

Doubt it. The markets in the area are quite complicated. Yes, they are growing, but they're still kinda small for US standards.

Or they could drop all that cash on Airbus.

Meh, look at the alternatives:
Airbus: Much more reason for anti-French animosity
Embraer: Too small and their airliner is 80% owned by Boeing anyway
Comac: They’ve been at war with China more recently than with the US, and all Comac can offer today is a warmed-over DC-9.
UAC: Not even the Russians want these. Maybe the MC-21 will be good, but that’s still very much up in the air.
In seriousness though, it sounds like a good deal for Boeing, all the more so if they can leverage it into some 777X sales as well.
